Top New Games Out On Switch, PS4, Xbox One, And PC This Week — June 7-13, 2020

[ad_1]

New Releases is here to highlight the biggest games launching every week. As June rolls on, some pretty cool things are making their way to consoles, including The Elder Scrolls Online’s Greymoor expansion and Project Warlock. That’s not the only “project” we’re getting this week either, thanks to 1971 Project Helios. Meanwhile, Goosebumps: Dead of Night creeps out of the shadows, and the Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection cuts into the Epic Games Store.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor — June 9

Available on: PS4, Xbox One

It’s already available on PC, but now ESO players on consoles can explore the western region of Skyrim. It’s a cold, snowy place with new trials to complete and world events to witness. The MMO’s story continues in the underground city of Blackreach, where you’ll have to face a fearsome Vampire Lord.

Project Warlock — June 9 (PS4), June 11 (Switch), June 12 (Xbox One)

Available on: PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Project Warlock

You can probably tell by the screenshot above that Project Warlock is inspired by ’90s shooters like Doom and Heretic. The “warlock” in the name is meaningful too–you’ll wield magical weapons and spells in addition to typical guns. Expect plenty of monsters to get in your way as you try to collect keys, open doors, and clear every stage.

1971 Project Helios — June 9

Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch

1971 Project Helios

Project Helios is a turn-based strategy game set in a frozen world run by a crazy religious cult. That cult has kidnapped a scientist, so it’s up to the game’s eight heroes to rescue her. There are three different endings to unlock depending on how their quest goes.

Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection — June 11

Available on: PC

Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection

This collection is seven games in one: Samurai Shodown, II, III, Amakusa’s Revenge, V, V Special, and V Perfect. That last game never even saw a full release back in the day, making this the first time you can actually play it. The collection will be free on the Epic Games Store for a week after launch; after that, you’ll have to shell out $40 for it on PC and consoles.

Goosebumps: Dead of Night — June 12

Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch

Goosebumps: Dead of Night

This survival horror game should be fun for fans of R.L. Stine’s books. You’ll have to run from classic monsters like Slappy the Dummy and Murder the Clown as you try to solve puzzles and escape. Fans of the recent movies will be pleased to know that Jack Black’s R.L. Stine shows up too.

June has more games to come, and next week’s episode of New Releases has some highly anticipated titles. We’ll take a look at Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 and Pokemon Sword & Shield’s Isle of Armor expansion. GameSpot’s Play For All event will also continue throughout the month, so stay tuned for more gaming announcements, interviews, streams, and more.
